Andrew had most likely come from Raritan and he was driving westbound along River Road. It was around 5:30AM on December 26, a foggy and rainy night. Between Beekman Lane and Chamberlain Drive, his car struck the very end of a guardrail in just such a way as to make it slide sideways into a large tree. Andrew was pronounced dead at the scene.

He had planned to meet a friend at the Bridgewater YMCA at 6AM. We will never know why he was driving along River Road in that direction at that time. Perhaps he was just enjoying driving before heading back to the YMCA.
